Curriculum

Below you can find the best demonstration of my teaching philosophy. Each Curriculum sample is centered around providing students with a wide range of empires and cultures so that I can try to be sure each student finds at least one unit interesting!

Assessment Samples

A colorful compilation of different formative and summative forms of assessment. Students will flex their mind muscles by considering how they encounter historical narratives in their daily lives, establishing motives for state actions, articulating the spread of thought through different cultures, and reflecting on their own performance throughout important classroom discussion.

Curriculum Map

This template details a semester of world history aimed at providing students  with a well rounded trip through time from humanities not-so humble beginnings to our near atomic destruction. Students will be introduced to core principles in academia while expressing their creativity and higher order thinking through new media tools.

Unit Map

In the Unit, "Indigenous Experience in the Americas and Pacific", students will be introduced to popular theories behind the populating of the Americas, uncover the ways in which science and history can intersect, learn more about what it means to be a historian, and familiarize themselves with different forms of colonialism and indigenous resistance.

Lesson Plans

These are some specific lesson templates that we'd be performing throughout the semester. Student led activities centered around building up their independent research,professional technology, and group work skills together.
